T Manners & Sons Ltd Becomes Manners to Support Next Phase of Growth
As one of the North East’s longest-established family-owned construction companies, we’re today announcing a major brand refresh, including a move to be known simply as Manners.
The change reflects our evolution into a modern, multi-disciplinary construction group, while retaining the heritage and reputation built over more than 160 years.
Founded in 1860 and now led by fifth-generation Managing Director Simon Manners, we’ve grown significantly in recent decades. The transition to Manners provides a clearer, more contemporary identity that better represents the breadth of our services and our position in the market today.
This evolution also strengthens the connection between our core business and specialist divisions, creating a cohesive identity across construction, joinery, mechanical, fire doors and small works.
Managing Director Simon Manners said: “This is a natural step forward for the business. We’ll now be known simply as Manners; something many of our clients and partners already call us.
“We’re incredibly proud of where we’ve come from and we’re equally focused on where we’re going. This brand refresh captures that balance and reflects who we are today: a modern, capable and confident business with a long track record of delivering quality projects.
“As we continue to grow and diversify across our construction, specialist joinery, mechanical, fire doors and small works divisions, it’s important that our brand reflects the scale, capability and professionalism of the business today.”
With a continued focus on quality, reliability and consistent delivery, the move to Manners positions us for the future, while staying true to the principles that have underpinned our success for generations.
The new Manners brand will be rolled out throughout 2026.
